Women often ask if a pessary will be suitable for their type of prolapse or stress incontinence. You should ask your pelvic health physiotherapist what training they have had and what types of pessaries they can fit.
I fit all types of pessaries, including gellhorn pessaries, rings, cubes, donuts, shaatz, continence dishes and rings with knobs.
I have been trained by Assoc. Prof. Emmanuel Karantanis and his continence nurse specialists at the Pelvic Floor Unit as I have worked there as the Senior Women’s Health Physiotherapist since 2014 and I have attended advanced pessary training courses run by Taryn Hallam at WHTA.
There is the additional benefit that I work directly with Assoc. Prof. Emmanuel Karantanis and we can liaise directly to determine the best type and fit of pessary for you. If you would like to know more, please contact me to book an appointment on 0403 234 344 or email me if you have any questions.
